Initial Ideas

  1. Comparing modern architecture and the way it is designed now (Autodesk Maya, Google Sketchup, etc) to how it has been in the past (Hand drafting). This would be done by shooting in and around Canterbury,  comparing places like Whitefriars Shopping Centre to Canterbury Cathedral.
  2. Comparing crime and punishment through the ages and holding a shoot to show changes. This could be presented as a timeline.
  3. Showing that modern life to me is run by rules, regulations and restrictions. This could be carried out by photographing everywhere I go during this unit, ie. signs stating what we can and cannot do, where we can and cannot go.
  4. Comparing institutions such as hospitals. What they are like now, to how they have been in the past. This idea came from the fact that a hospital is one of the places with the newest technology, everything has to be kept up to date all of the time, therefore it shows modern life in its simplest form and how things are getting more advanced every single day.
